SINCERITY

SINCERITY Scrip Ref: Phil 1:10; 2 Cor 8:8, Ephesians 6:24, Titus 2:7, Prov 26:24-25

Sincerity: the quality or state of being sincere; honesty, genuineness, good faith, etc.

I BELIEVE THAT ONE MAJOR THING THAT GOD ASK OF US IS TO BE SINCERE; NOT ONLY WITH HIM BUT OURSELVES AND OTHERS. I'VE PRAYED ASKING THE LORD THAT IF I'VE PRAYED FOR SOMEONE OR SOMETHING WITHOUT A SINCERE HEART AND WORDS, TO PLEASE REMOVE THAT FROM ME AND FORGIVE ME.

THE LORDS LOVE IS SINCERE, THEREFORE WHEN WE'RE PRAYING FOR SOMEONE WE SHOULD DESIRE THAT OUR PRAYERS BE SINCERE, NOT WANTING ANYTHING FOR OURSELVES IN RETURN. GOD HAS LAID IT UPON MY HEART TO PRAY FOR PEOPLE, TO BE A PRAYER WARRIOR, INTERCESSOR FOR PEOPLE, BUT I ALSO HAVE TO WATCH MYSELF TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SINCERITY REMAINS AT THE FOREFRONT. WE HAVE TO WATCH WHAT WE SAY AND THINK ABOUT SOMEONE OR A SITUATION WHEN NOT IN PRAYER TIME. IN THE BOOK OF PROVERBS, SOLOMON SPEAKS OF WATCHING OUT FOR PEOPLE WHO IN ONE INSTANCE HAVE SOMETHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT SOMEONE, BUT THE NEXT MOMENT THEY'RE SPEAKING GOOD OF SOMEONE; WELL WE CAN SWITCH THAT AROUND AND SAY BE CAREFUL IN PRAYER WHEN PRAYING THAT SOMETHING WORKS OUT FOR SOMEONE BUT WHEN NOT IN PRAYER, WE'RE SPEAKING AGAINST THEM. I BELIEVE THAT TAKES THE SINCERITY AWAY FROM OUR PRAYERS, AND THE OPPOSITE OF SINCERITY IS DECEIT.

SINCERITY IS NOT ONLY IMPORTANT IN OUR PRAYERS FOR OTHERS, BUT ALSO PRAYERS FOR OURSELVES. WHY ARE WE REALLY ASKING GOD FOR THAT PARTICULAR SOMETHING? ARE WE BEING GENUINE, OR DO WE HAVE A HIDDEN AGENDA? I THINK THAT ALONG WITH SINCERITY COMES HUMILITY.

WE MUST STRIVE TO BE SINCERE AND HUMBLE IN ALL OF OUR WAYS.

Seasons

SEASONS- Scrip Ref Acts 13:11 & 13:17-20

A person's season (a time in a person's life, rather good or bad) varies. It may not just be a month or a year; it may be go beyond that time, or it may be shortened. A season is just a period that we all go through to continue on so that we may reach our destinies. I've learned that we should never compare our season to anothers, even if we're experiencing the exact same thing. We may be going through the same seasons for two completely different purposes.

Yes, the ultimate purpose is to reach our destiny, but everyone's life driven destiny is different. I believe the most important thing to remember is that a season is only going to last for just that, a season. So it's important while we're in whatever current or future situations that we may be in, rather good or bad, to look beyond, stay humble, and of course....TRUST IN GOD!!!

1 Timpothy 4:10 "for therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe."

Confessing Sins

Confessing Sins: Scripiture Reference Psalm 32:3-4; 38:3-5; 51:1-2

Confessing sins is not just apologizing to God, it also includes attempting our best to change our ways. In order to confess truthfully, we have to explain in detail what we have done....All of it!!!! Then after that we will feel a weight being lifted off of our shoulders. You're not only doing this for God, but yourself. We all know what it's like to have a burden lifted off of our shoulders; well when you honestly confess your sins, that's how one feels. Repentence means being truthfully sorry about our sins, to the point of grief. And to turn and walk away from it, and doing whatever it takes to never commit that sin again. However, if we do commit the same sin again, unintentionally of course, we can ask God to forgive us again and repent. Just because we're making a conscious effort not to sin does not mean it won't happen, we are human, but the grace of God allows us to come back and ask for forgiveness. Sometimes we have to replace that sin we're trying to rid ourselves of with something of God; something productive, positive. Just remember, ask for forgiveness as many times as it takes until you win the battle. Remember, the battle is not the yours, it's the Lords.
Don't let the devil tell you that you're a failure and that God is not listening to you anymore. God will listen as long as you keep asking.

Psalm 32:1 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered."
